Hi, there. My name’s Stephanie. I’m newly married, love to cook, and have been a vegetarian since 1998. My diet leans toward vegan most of the time, and I do my best to eat a lower-fat diet, getting my fat from whole food sources such as avocado, nuts and coconut instead of refined oils. I’m not perfect, though, and sometimes I eat more refined foods and junk than I want to. I’ve lost 28 pounds since last year through diet and exercise, and am working on losing another 20 or so.
I love to cook, and have even made a few vegan cookzines, which can be found in my Etsy shop, along with many other handmade items. I have also had recipes appear in Veggie Life and several indie zines. I hope to share some of my recipes and food finds with you, and I’m also hoping writing about what I eat will keep me on track and reduce the unhealthy lapses my diet is sometimes prone to. I hope you find something here you like, and feel free to leave comments and suggestions for improvements to recipes.
I live with my husband Kevin and our two cats, Rio and Clementine. Kevin takes most of the photos seen on this blog (I’m klutzy with the camera).
